Cleaning & Preservation
Our hand cleaning methods will remove all dirt, mud, grass stains, floor oils and stains from the hemline of your dress. Sugar stains and other non-visible stains will be treated with our special hand cleaning solutions and process to ensure that the gown will not turn yellow over time.
After hand cleaning, your wedding gown will be INDIVIDUALLY cleaned using our ENVIRONMENTALLY safe GREEN EARTH technology. This process will also keep your Bridal Gown clean and bright.

After the gown has been completely cleaned it will be re-inspected. Minor repairs will be done at this time at no charge to you. Another Broadway Wedding Gown Care Center difference!
Your wedding gown is then steamed, pressed and hand finished. The bodice is shaped and an acid free bust form is placed inside the gown.
If the gown is being preserved, it will be stuffed with layers of 100% acid free tissue and placed in a 100% acid free Bridal Preservation Chest with a safe viewing window which has also been lined with 100% acid free tissue. The 100% acid free Gown Preservation Chest with safe viewing window is then placed into a strong outer storage box (with handle) which is safe for long term storage, handling and shipping.

Every wedding dress brought to Broadway Gown Care Center goes through a multi-step inspection process.
- We will look at the gown with you and thoroughly inspect the gown with you.
- We will take the time to discuss and notate any issues that you may know about, relative to the condition of your gown.
- After the visual inspection, we will go over the entire gown with a Black Light which will reveal both visual and hidden non-visible stains.
- All stains will be identified and marked so that our Wedding Gown Cleaning Specialist can Hand Clean the hem, neckline and bodice area.
